JawaPos.com – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) asked the APBN, APBD, and SOE budgets, which come from public money, not to be spent on imported products.
“As I said in Bali, because this is people’s money, APBN, APBD, BUMN, this is people’s money, we shouldn’t buy imported goods. It would be a big mistake for us to do that,” said President Jokowi during his briefing and evaluation of the Proud Affirmation Action Made in Indonesia at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Jakarta, Tuesday (24/5).
President Jokowi said that the APBN budget reached Rp. 2,714 trillion. Meanwhile, the APBD is Rp. 1,197.2 trillion. This number is even greater if it is added to the BUMN budget.
With such a large budget, the President said, its use must be optimal and well targeted to achieve development and welfare targets. “We really have to hold on to our state budget, our regional budget, the budget in SOEs, so that their utilization can really focus on the point we are aiming for. Because the money is very big, our APBN is Rp. 2,714 trillion, APBD is Rp. 1,197.2 trillion, it is very big, plus SOEs,” said President Jokowi, quoted from Between.
The President asked all line ministries/institutions and ranks in regional governments to have similar thoughts regarding the importance of optimizing state budget spending for local products, not imported products. He stressed that currently global economic conditions are still affected by uncertainty due to the war in Ukraine. This uncertainty has an impact on all countries, including Indonesia.
“This is what we all have to have the same feeling, how the current situation is not easy, the situation is not easy,” said President Jokowi.
